Welcome to Victory Cathedral Worship Center
We're glad you surfed into victory today, and we hope you'll visit our church in person soon. Here are answers to some of the most common questions people ask before coming to Victory.
Where is Victory located?
- Our West Campus worships in our new church home - Victory Cathedral Worship Center, located at 369 N. Weber Road, in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
- Our South Campus currently worships in Percy L. Julian High School, 10330 S. Elizabeth in Chicago.
When are worship services? West Campus: 7:30am, 10am and 12:30pm on February 26; South Campus: 12:30pm
Victory worship services have a strong focus on the preaching of the Bible. Our music is a blend of old and new, traditional and contemporary. Our goal is to glorify God and exalt our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be sure to allow a few extra minutes to park and check in your children for their customized worship experiences. Greeters and ushers are in our lobby to answer questions and help you find a seat.
What can I expect at Victory? We hope you'll have a warm and friendly experience! Victory Cathedral is a non-denominational church, and the Victory family is multi-generational, with a mixture of ethnic backgrounds. Children (ages 3 - Grade 6) have their own worship experience, called V-Quest. Youth (Grades 7 - 12) have their own worship experience, called Gen-V.
What should I wear? We enjoy a relaxed atmosphere of worship at Victory and hope that you will feel comfortable coming to worship just as you are. Victory's focus is NOT on what you wear, but on engaging, encountering and responding to the relationship and lordship of Jesus Christ. Dress tends to be business casual, but there's always a range from ties to jeans. Our Sunday morning services tend to be a blended style of worship. Since our services are blended, you’ll see a wide blend of clothing styles – from suits and ties to polos and khakis to jeans and t-shirts.
What is there for my children? At Victory, children and youth (ages 3 through Grade 12) have worship experiences customized just for them! V-Quest, our Children's Ministry (ages 3 through Grade 6), has children's church during our 10am and 12:30pm services. Gen-V, our Youth Ministry (Grade 7 - 12), has youth service during our 10am and 12:30pm services. Children and youth must be checked in, so plan a few extra minutes to sign in your children. See the check-in details below:
Check-in begins at 9:50am (for 10am service) and 12:20pm (for 12:30pm service)
Youth and children must be checked in by a parent or guardian no later than 10:30am and 1pm.
Ushers and greeters are located in the main lobby, and can show you where to register your children and locate their classrooms. We have lots for children and youth at Victory!
What if I have a question once I'm at Victory? If you have questions or need help at any time, look for Victory ushers and greeters wearing name-tags. they can help you. You can also get assistance at the Welcome Center, which is located in the main lobby.
If you want to ask a question, submit a prayer request, or learn more about Victory, here are the best ways to indicate your interest:
- Visit the Welcome Center
- Send a note via our Web site
- Fill out a Guest Card (located at the Welcome Center) and indicate your need; you will be contacted by a member of the pastoral staff that week.
What time should I arrive? Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before service starts. When you enter, you will be greeted by one of our greeters and they will offer you a worship guide. If you are a first time guest, please be sure to mention this to our greeters, and they will direct you to the Worship Center and/or show you where to sit.
Where do I park? Parking is located behind our buildings and there are no reserved parking spaces—so feel free to park wherever you like. There are parking attendants in the parking lots to help direct you to our designated parking areas.
Where should I sit? Please feel welcome to sit wherever you would like. We have no reserved seating, and are simply overjoyed to have you join us for worship.
How often do you serve the Lord's Supper? Who can participate in the Lord’s Supper?
Victory serves the Lord's Supper once a quarter, and we believe that the Lord’s Supper is a gift for everyone to experience. We view this special table as the Lord’s welcome table and invite you into our time of observing the Lord’s Supper. For the Lord’s Supper, we do not want people to “go through the motions” without remembering the Lord’s death. We want to remember the meaning.
How will I meet people in such a big church? There are lots of ways to meet new people, begin to grow spiritually, and get involved in ministry at Victory. There's a popular saying, Nobody can know everybody, but we have found that even at a church the size of Victory, Everybody can know somebody! In fact, we're sure that soon you'll know lots of people! As you look to connect with others at Victory, consider participating in the various ministries, groups, activities, and programs. We hope you'll take advantage of the various connection opportunities, and come meet new friends. We look forward to meeting you!
How do I become a member of Victory Cathedral Worship Center? Once you've made the decision to become a part of the Victory family, simply walk down the aisle at the minister's call on the FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH. A member of our New Members Ministry will discuss next steps with you, as well as give you a welcome packet of information on our church.
