I Am Faithful
Tucked quietly into the first chapter of 1 Corinthians is a statement that deserves far more attention than it often receives: "God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." Paul was writing to a church that had real problems — divisions, immorality, confusion about spiritual gifts. Yet he reminds them at the very beginning: God is faithful. Not was faithful. Not will hopefully be faithful. Is faithful. Present, active, ongoing. Faithfulness is one of God's core characteristics. It is not something He chooses on good days and sets aside on hard ones. His faithfulness is as constant as His nature — because He cannot be unfaithful without ceasing to be God. This matters enormously because you will have moments in life when everything feels unreliable. People disappoint. Plans fall through. Situations change. And there are seasons when even your own faith wavers. But the good news of this verse is that your faithfulness is not the foundation — His is. You are held by a God who does not change His mind about you, who does not abandon His people, and who never breaks a promise. Notice also what He is faithful to: He called you into fellowship with Jesus. Not just to a set of rules or a church building — but into relationship with His Son. This is the purpose of your calling. And God, who called you into it, is the one sustaining it. He will not start something and abandon it. Philippians 1:6 echoes this — He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. When your faith feels thin, lean on His faithfulness. When your commitment wavers, remember His does not. When you wonder if God has forgotten you, revisit His record. He has never failed. Not once. His track record across history — and in your own life, if you look closely — tells the same story: God is faithful. Trust Him with today.
1 Corinthians 1:9
"God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."
Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You that Your faithfulness is not dependent on mine. On days when my faith is small, help me rest in the fact that You are always faithful. Thank You for calling me into relationship with Jesus and for never letting go of what You started in me. Be my confidence today. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Write down one specific way God has been faithful to you in the past year. Keep it somewhere visible as a reminder of His faithfulness when doubt creeps in.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
