I Am Gifted
First Peter 4:10 delivers one of the most important truths about the Christian life: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." Three things stand out in this verse. First, everyone has received a gift. Not some Christians — each of you. This is not reserved for pastors or professional ministers. Every single person who follows Jesus has received a spiritual gift — a God-given ability designed to bless others and build the body of Christ. You are gifted. Second, the gift was given to be used. Peter does not say "appreciate your gift" or "acknowledge your gift" — he says use it. A gift unopened or unused is still a gift, but it fulfills no purpose. God did not give you your gifts for display. He gave them for deployment. Third, the framing is striking: using your gift is an act of stewardship of God's grace. Your gift is an expression of grace — both the grace God gave you in providing it and the grace others receive when you use it. To not use your gift is to withhold grace from people who need it. Now, many people have never taken time to identify their gifts. They wonder what they have to offer, or they compare their gifts to others' and feel theirs do not measure up. But God does not make insignificant gifts. Every gift in His economy matters and is needed. The gift of encouragement is as vital as the gift of preaching. The gift of helps is as needed as the gift of leadership. Your specific combination of gifts is perfectly designed for the specific people God has placed in your sphere. You are not waiting to become useful. You already are. Find your gift, use your gift, and watch God use it to change the people around you.

Today's Prayer
Lord, thank You for gifting me for Your purposes. Help me to identify my gifts clearly and use them without hesitation or comparison. I want to steward Your grace well — not for recognition but for the good of others and the glory of Your name. Show me where to use what You have given me. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Ask two or three people who know you well: 'What gift or strength do you see in me?' Their answers may surprise you — and confirm what God is calling you to use.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
