I Am Loved
There is a verse in Romans that reads like a victory speech at the end of a long war: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Paul does not leave room for exceptions. He lists opposites — life and death, present and future, height and depth — and declares that none of them can break you loose from God's love. This is not wishful thinking. Paul wrote these words after years of suffering, rejection, and hardship. He had been beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, and abandoned by friends. He was not writing from a comfortable chair on a good day. He was writing as someone who had tested this truth through fire — and found it to be absolutely certain. God's love for you is not contingent on your behavior, your feelings, or your circumstances. It does not ebb and flow with your spiritual temperature. It is not stronger when you are doing well and weaker when you fail. The love of God in Christ Jesus is a fixed and permanent reality. Many people live their entire lives never truly believing they are loved. They feel too broken, too messy, too far gone. They perform for God rather than resting in Him because on some level they fear that if God truly knew them, He would not love them. But the gospel says the opposite. God loves you with full knowledge of who you are. He knows every thought you have not told anyone. He knows every failure you carry in secret. And He loves you completely. Not despite who you are — He loves you as you are, while also calling you toward who He made you to be. You are loved today. Not based on today's performance. Based on who God is — and who you are in Christ.
Romans 8:38-39
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Today's Prayer
Lord, help me to receive Your love today — really receive it, not just know it mentally. Where I have believed the lie that I am not truly loved, speak Your truth over me. Nothing can separate me from You. Thank You for a love that holds. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Read Romans 8:38-39 slowly two more times today. Each time, replace 'us' and 'we' with 'me' and make it personal.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
