I Am That I Am
Moses was standing in the middle of nowhere when his life changed forever. He was not in a palace or a prayer meeting — he was tending sheep in the wilderness, far from the life he once knew. Then a bush caught fire and did not burn up, and God spoke. When Moses asked for God's name, the answer was unlike any name in human history: "I AM WHO I AM." This was not a riddle. It was a revelation. God exists completely in Himself. He needs nothing, depends on nothing, and is limited by nothing. Every other name we give to God describes what He does — Provider, Healer, Shepherd. But this name simply declares what He is: existence itself. He is not the God who was, or the God who will be — He is the God who always is. This matters deeply for your everyday life. When you wake up anxious about tomorrow, the I AM is already there. When you face a problem that feels impossible, the I AM is not caught off guard. When you feel forgotten or overlooked, the I AM sees you completely. Moses went from a fugitive shepherd to the deliverer of a nation — not because of his own ability, but because he went in the name of the limitless God. He tried to list his weaknesses, and God answered every single one of them with the same assurance: I will be with you. That same God sends you into your day today. Your strength is not the point — His presence is. The great I AM does not need your perfection; He needs your availability. Whatever you are facing right now, you face it with the eternal God standing beside you. You are not alone, and you are not without help. The bush that burns but does not burn up is a picture of you in God's care — the heat of life may come, but you will not be consumed. Walk into today knowing who walks with you.
Exodus 3:14
"God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you.'"
Today's Prayer
Father, thank You for being the great I AM — present, eternal, and unchanging. When I am overwhelmed, remind me that You are not. Give me confidence to walk into today not based on my own strength, but on the assurance of Your presence. Let my faith rest in who You are, not in how I feel. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Write 'I AM is with me' on a sticky note and place it somewhere you will see it three times today.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
