Made for More
Jesus made a declaration in John 10:10 that should permanently reshape how we think about the Christian life: "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." Life to the full. The Greek word used is perissos — which means exceeding abundantly, over and above, more than enough. Jesus did not come to give you a minimal life. He did not come to offer you just enough grace to survive. He came so that your life would be filled to overflowing with the kind of life that only He can give. This is not a promise of wealth or ease. The abundant life Jesus describes is not measured in possessions or circumstances. It is measured in meaning, in peace, in love, in purpose, in the deep satisfaction that comes from living in close relationship with the God who made you. The thief Jesus mentions is the one who tries to reduce your life — who steals your joy through worry, kills your peace through fear, and destroys your potential through shame and distraction. His goal is diminishment. Jesus's goal is fullness. As you close out July — a month focused on alignment — consider what full life looks like in your specific context. Not someone else's full life. Yours. The relationships, the work, the faith, the rhythms that produce genuine flourishing for the person God made you to be. You were not made for a small, distracted, anxious existence. You were made for more. The door to that more is staying aligned with the One who is the source of life itself. Walk into August knowing: you were made for more, and He is the way to get there.
John 10:10
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
Today's Prayer
Jesus, thank You for coming so I could have life — full, rich, abundant life. Where I have settled for less, call me higher. Where the thief has stolen from me, restore what was taken. Help me to pursue and protect the full life You came to give. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Write down what 'life to the full' looks like for you personally — in faith, relationships, purpose, and health. Use this as a vision to pursue in the second half of the year.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
