Offering Your Ordinary Day
Colossians 3:23 reframes the most ordinary parts of your life with extraordinary significance: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." Whatever you do. Not just the impressive moments, the spiritual moments, or the visible moments. Whatever. The email you write. The meeting you attend. The child you help with homework. The dish you wash. The call you make. All of it — every ordinary action — can be an offering to God when it is done with the awareness that He is the ultimate audience. This is the theology of the everyday. It removes the sacred-secular divide that tells you that your work at church is spiritual and your work at your job is just work. According to Paul, there is no "just work" for a follower of Jesus. There is only work done for the Lord or work done without that awareness — and the difference is not the task but the heart posture behind it. Working with all your heart means bringing your best to everything, not just the things that feel important. It means showing up fully — not going through the motions, not doing the minimum, not coasting — because the One you are ultimately serving is worthy of your full effort. When you live this way, the sacred begins to bleed into the secular. Your workplace becomes a mission field. Your home becomes a sanctuary. Your everyday interactions become ministry. The ordinary day, fully offered to God, becomes an extraordinary act of devotion. That is the poured-out life showing up in the details.

Today's Prayer
Lord, help me to do everything I do today with all my heart, as if I am doing it for You — because I am. Take my ordinary Tuesday and make it an offering. Let my work be worship and my relationships be ministry. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Choose your most dreaded task or responsibility today. Before you begin, say: 'I do this for You, Lord.' Then bring your full effort to it as an act of worship.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
