The Power of a Yielded Life
Galatians 2:20 is Paul's summary of what it looks like to be fully aligned with God: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." This is one of the most theologically rich statements in all of Paul's letters — and one of the most practically demanding. Paul says he no longer lives. His old self — his ambitions, his ego, his self-made identity — was crucified with Christ. What remains is a life animated by Someone else: Christ living in him. This is the power of a yielded life. It is not that you become less — it is that you become more, because the limitless life of Christ fills the space where self used to dominate. Most of us live somewhere on a spectrum between complete self-governance and complete surrender to Christ. And we often drift between the two depending on the season. When things feel manageable, we tend to rely on ourselves. When things get hard or complicated, we remember to yield. But Paul describes something more consistent — a posture of surrender that becomes the default, the foundation, the starting point of every day. A yielded life is not a diminished life. It is an empowered one. Because the power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives in you. When you stop striving in your own strength and start moving in His, you discover a reservoir of grace, wisdom, and energy that your own efforts could never supply. Yield fully today. The most powerful version of your life is the one fully surrendered to Christ.
Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Today's Prayer
Lord, I want Christ to truly live in me — not just as a guest in my life but as the very life of my life. Help me to yield completely: my ambitions, my fears, my plans. Live through me today in a way I cannot manufacture on my own. Amen.
Today's Action Step
Before you begin work or your main responsibilities today, pray this: 'Christ, live through me today. Not my strength — Yours.' Write it somewhere visible and return to it when you hit a difficult moment.

Hope.
Healing.
Empowerment.
