Galatians 2:20 is Paul's summary of what it looks like to be fully aligned with God: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Most of us live somewhere on a spectrum between complete self-governance and complete surrender to Christ. And we often drift between the two depending on the season. When things feel manageable, we tend to rely on ourselves. When things get hard or complicated, we remember to yield. But Paul describes something more consistent — a posture of surrender that becomes the default, the foundation, the starting point of every day. A yielded life is not a diminished life. It is an empowered one. Because the power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives in you.
